About this project
This project focused on creating a bright, contemporary dining extension that connects the main home with the garden and pool area. The new space introduces large black-framed glazing, warm timber flooring, soft architectural lighting and a clean open-plan layout, giving the property a more modern feel while still sitting comfortably alongside the existing Farnham home.
Breif
The brief was to create a flexible dining and entertaining space that could be used throughout the year. The owners wanted a room that felt open, warm and connected to the outside, with views over the pool and garden. Practicality was also key, with the space needing to work for family meals, hosting guests and quieter everyday use, while maintaining a high-end finish.
The Result
The finished extension delivers a calm, elegant and highly usable space with a strong connection to the garden. Floor-to-ceiling glazing brings in natural light and frames the pool view, while the herringbone-style timber flooring, ceiling details and subtle uplighting add warmth and character. The result is a beautifully finished open-plan dining area that feels both stylish and practical.
